Sculpture
This work is figurative, capturing the character and movement of the subject. Mediums used vary between papier-mache, concrete, and styrofoam. Some pieces are cast in bronze or resin.
Much of Alison’s sculptural work takes its inspiration from the creatures from all round the world - both real and imagined. Currently Alison is facinated by all the many creatures that share the landscape they live in, from the droves of rooks that live in the big trees at the side of the fields, to the plump (and ludicrous) partridges that like sitting on the car roof.
