The 300 square metres of contemporary family living space retains elements of its agricultural past. With high ceilings and incorporating triple glazed openings the house makes full use of stunning views over the Somerset countryside

Field House has been built to Passivhaus standards and utilises a suite of sustainability techniques including SIP panels, air-source heat pump. The house follows the profile of the original barn - once used for tractor storage and the occasional barn dance. The tall interior has been remodelled with a mezzanine floor to provide the bedrooms whist maintaining the drama of the original height in the kitchen/dining room below.

The black painted larch panelling adds a softer texture but maintains the agricultural feel of the house, meaning the house sits comfortably within the natural landscape.
